Kayoko Perkins

Certified Hatha, Vinyasa, Kids Yoga Instructor & Holistic Life & Health Coach

Kayoko Perkins was born and raised in Osaka, Japan, and moved to the United States in 2004, blending Japanese and American cultures in her life and work. Her journey to wellness began in 2001 while studying English in Pennsylvania, where she discovered yoga. Since then, yoga has been a guiding practice in her life, both on and off the mat.

Life introduced Kayoko to the profound power of healing energy when she experienced the loss of a loved one. Inspired by this, she studied spirituality, energy healing, and holistic wellness, completing her Yoga Teacher Training to become a certified instructor. Over the past decade, she has shared yoga with students of all ages across Hawaii—including local schools—helping them build strength, flexibility, mindfulness, and a lifelong connection to wellness.

Kayoko is also the co-founder of an English school in Waikiki, where she developed programs to teach English as a second language to students from around the world. She also created a Yoga & Wellness course and a Yoga Teacher English Training course, blending language learning with holistic wellness practices.

During the pandemic, she deepened her expertise in holistic living and life transitions, earning a Life & Health Coaching certification to support individuals navigating anxiety, purpose, and personal growth. For the past five years, Kayoko has worked at the University of Hawaii as an educational specialist, collaborating with students and faculty to enhance learning and well-being, and developing the Academic Yoga Wellness program to integrate yoga and mindfulness into campus life. She continues her education in Communicology, exploring the depth of human communication to further empower those she works with.

“My mission is to empower women to heal, grow, and thrive by combining yoga, mindfulness, and holistic wellness practices—helping them navigate life transitions, manage anxiety, and connect with their true inner strength.”

Today, while engaging with the university and continuing her own education, Kayoko’s foundation remains in yoga and wellness coaching—her true calling.
